I love songs about Los Angeles and I love genius songwriters.  Joey Ryan takes two different topics and makes them the same thing in a way that not many artists can do.  This song is so simple and so amazing.  I can connect it to exact moments of clarity that can only come with the Los Angeles rain.

Their song “Pillow Talk” is the kind of pleasantly soothing song you want to wake up to in the morning, or hear in your dreams. Until you pay attention to the lyrics, which capture both sides of a failing relationship – then you want to hide under the covers.

Wild Child began when Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins met a few days before a six-week tour and found that they were both in the midst of a breakup. This prompted them to write ten songs while on tour and then, once back home, continue to compose more. Heartbreak works wonders for the music industry.

This is a breathe of fresh air.  I swear music like this is gonna save everyones soul.  My friend Andrew and I were discussing the lack of substance in popular music lately.  This industry is so messed up, beautiful songs like this made by independent bands are the only thing keeping alive those who believe in music as something vital as opposed to a way to make money.  Enjoy this beautiful song.
